Today I want to share with you some of the personal development books I love! And why I love them.
The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy - He has a M-F morning video I have talked about before. I saw him speak live 3 years ago. This book was the first book I read when I opened my business. It’s simple… the things we do daily, those small insignificant things… add up & make big changes. Like pumping a well for water… first a drop… then a stream… then a gush!
5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins - When I first listened to this book I felt an immediate connection to her. Any time I feel hesitate about doing something… 54321 it and just do it…. We overthink too many things! Just do it! I have been sleeping with my phone in the hallway based on her morning routine since January & it has made a huge difference.
The Power of Vulnerability by Brene Brown - so many key takeaways in this book! If you can listen to it - because it’s her voice that makes it real. Highly recommended to anyone…
The Power of Habit by Charles Duigg - Our habits control our lives… from what we say to what we wear to the route we drive to and from somewhere… This is a great book designed to help you to recognize the habits and ways to change the ones you don’t want.
Currently I am listening to The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth by John C. Maxwell. My word of the year is Growth so I am absorbing this as much as possible! I am also reading High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard, it’s providing so many prompts on how to incorporate high performance habits into your life!
Other great books include the following:
Picture Your Perspective - This one was great for all kinds of financial advice!
The two from Rachel Hollis:
Each of these books are awesome at empowering women to live their best life
Mel Robbins Coaching Sessions: She takes you through different people's issues and shows them the answer they have been searching for. Completely related to everyone!
